Critical minerals,
mined responsibly.
Lodestone produces copper, manganese, platinum and iron from three operations across the Northern Cape — the metals the energy transition depends on.
From orebody
to market.
Explore
Our geologists delineate each orebody with core drilling and 3D modelling before a single tonne is moved.
Extract
Open-pit and underground operations run modern, low-emission fleets, with grade control at every bench.
Process
On-site concentrators lift ore to market-grade concentrate, with process water recycled in closed loops.
Rehabilitate
Every hectare we disturb is mapped for concurrent rehabilitation — we close mines the way we'd want to find them.

Where the ore
begins.
What we
bring up.

We mine what the future is built on.
Three mines,
one standard.
Our operations span the Northern Cape's mineral belt — two open-pit, one underground — each held to the same safety, environmental and community benchmarks.
In 2025 we moved 41 million tonnes of material and returned 3,200 hectares to grazing land.
- 3 operations · Northern Cape
- 41 Mt moved · 2025
- 640 m deepest working
- 3,200 ha rehabilitated
- 0.9 LTIFR safety record

Rock to
concentrate.
Built by people
who know rock.
Lodestone began in 2009 when a team of Kimberley geologists backed a manganese prospect the majors had walked past.
Fifteen years on we're a mid-tier producer of four commodities, still majority South-African owned.
- Founded 2009 · Kimberley
- Majority SA-owned
- B-BBEE Level 2
- JSE-listed since 2018

What partners say
Lodestone's concentrate is the most consistent we take across our southern-hemisphere suppliers. They do exactly what the assay says.
They rehabilitated the eastern block two years ahead of the mine plan. That's not something we see often on the belt.
A rare mid-tier that treats its water licence and its balance sheet with the same discipline. Genuinely well run.
